D.J. Workcuff Finishes Second in Decathlon at Penn Relays

April 26, 2017--Mount St. Mary's junior D.J. Workcuff finished in second place in the decathlon at the Penn Relays.  Workcuff tallied 6,126 points in the two-day event, finishing behind Tobias Kaiser of Queens.

Workcuff entered the second day of competition leading the field with 3,479 points.  He opened today with 593 points in the 110m hurdles while adding 411 in the discus.  Workcuff had the second-best mark in the pole vault in the field (3.64m) to collect 519 points, before rounding out the day with 526 points in the javelin and 598 points in the 1500m run.

The Mount has 18 athletes competing Thursday thru Saturday at the Penn Relays, beginning with pole vaulters Elissa Ingram, Moriah Fitzgerald and Rachel Finn at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow.
