The Mount St. Mary's men's and women's outdoor track and field teams return to action this weekend at the Fred Hardy Invitational hosted by the University of Richmond.

THE MOUNT AT THE FRED HARDY INVITATIONAL:  The last time the Mount competed at the Fred Hardy Invitational was in 2015.  Sara Gardner won the 100m hurdles and Elissa Ingram the pole vault at the meet.

PRESEASON POLLS: The Northeast Conference Outdoor Track and Field polls have been released with the Mount women picked to finish sixth and the men's team tabbed seventh by the league's head coaches.

STRONG START:  The Mount opened the outdoor season with a strong showing at the Bob Davidson Spring Kickoff hosted at High Point University. The Mountaineers had 11 student-athletes qualify for the IC4A/ECAC Championships.  Julian Woods won both the 110m and 400m hurdles with Brian Sagendorf winning the javelin to pace the Mount at the meet.

UP NEXT: The Mount will compete at the VertKlasse Meeting at High Point University on March 31 and April 1.
