Gabor had a strong showing at the Akron Invitational, finishing in fifth place with an IC4A qualifying score of 5,017 points. He set personal bests in four events (long jump, high jump, 60m hurdles, pole vault) while also setting a PR in total score. Gabor has the top heptathlon score in the conference this year, and his long jump mark of 6.76m at Akron is tied for sixth in the NE, while his pole vault mark of 4.55m during the heptathlon is second in the conference.
Kimble clocked in at 21.92 in the 200m dash, becoming the fifth NEC sprinter to register a sub-22.00 time while moving into third place on the league leaderboard in the event. The performance also moved Kimble into the top-35 amongst IC4A Championship qualifiers. Kimble also ran the 60m dash in 6.95 at the Akron Invitational, missing out on his season-best by 0.01 seconds.
