Annapolis, Md. (December 3, 2016)--The Mount St. Mary's men's track and field team had a quarter of IC4A qualifiers to highlight the season-opening meet at Navy on Saturday afternoon.
Julian Woods finished in second place in the 60m dash with a time of 8.07 seconds to qualify for the IC4A's. Chase Boyle added a second place mark of 17.63m in the weight throw to earn a spot in the IC4A Championships as well. Freshman Justin Kimble's time of 6.96 seconds in the preliminaries of the 60m dash earned him a spot to the IC4A Championships. Brendan Chavis finished third in the weight throw with a qualifying mark of 17.08m as well.
Other highlights included Kimble finishing in fourth place in the 60m dash, the 4x400m relay team of Woods, Josh Poole, Andrew Humm and Christopher Gabor finishing third, Jonathan Burns finishing third in the high jump, Gabor and Colin Waitzman tying for third in teh pole vault, and Zachary Delker placing fifth in the shot put.
