Mountaineers Remain in Fifth Place After Day 3 at Northeast Conference Championships

Boston, Mass. (March 1, 2013)--Mount St. Mary's remained in fifth place after the third day of competition at the Northeast Conference Swimming and Diving Championships held at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

For the Mount, Courtney Griffith finished in fourth place in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 56.48 seconds with teammate Erin Regan finishing right behind with a mark of 56.82 seconds.  Mollie Walsh was fifth in the B final as well for the Mountaineers.

Cat Coppler won the B final in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 1:54.20 while Anne Thelen was seventh in the B final in the 100 yard breaststroke.

Saint Francis (Pa.) leads with 477.5 points, followed by Bryant (456.5), Wagner (441), Central Connecticut State (415), the Mount (202), Sacred Heart (126) and St. Francis (N.Y.) (115).
