Emmitsburg, Md. (July 21, 2017) – Mount St. Mary's University tennis Head Coach Samantha Pinchoff announced the 2017 fall schedules for the men's and women's teams on Friday.
"The fall season is a time for teams to play a slew of singles and doubles matches, gain experience, and unite as a team," said Pinchoff. "This upcoming fall, both the men and women are slotted to play a total of five tournaments, including the ITA Atlantic Regional Tournament in mid-October. With such a rigorous tournament schedule, we are hoping to gain as much match experience as possible to better prepare for the spring season. Both teams are eager and ready to get back on campus and begin the 2017-2018 season."
Both the men's and women's squads open the season at the Bucknell Invitational spanning September 8-10 in Lewisburg, Pa. A week later, the Mount St. Mary's women's team heads over to Baltimore for the Towson Invite on September 15-17.
The following weekend, both teams are in action with the men competing at the Loyola Invite from September 22-24, while the women host the Mount Invitational also spanning September 22-24.
The women's squad heads back to Baltimore for competition at the Loyola Invitational from September 29-October 1, while the men's team hosts its Mount Invitational the following weekend on October 6-8.
To wrap up the fall semester, the women travel to the ITA Atlantic Regional Tournament at Liberty University from October 13-17. The men are set to compete in their ITA Tournament at Virginia Tech spanning October 19-23.
The men's team then closes out the semester at the Navy Invitational spanning October 27-29.
