ABOUT THE MOUNT
The Mountaineers have been off from competition since closing out the fall semester at the Loyola Invitational back in early December. The women's team, which is off to its best start to a season in program history with a 5-0 record in dual meets, finished in fourth place at the Loyola Invite. Maddie McGraw paced the Mount at the meet with top-10 finishes in the 100 back, 200 back and 200 IM, while three other Mountaineers also posted a pair of top-10 showings apiece during the two-day event.
On the men's side, the Mountaineers have earned a pair of dual meet victories on the year against VMI and Monmouth, and closed out the fall semester with a fifth-place finish at the Loyola Invitational. Sophomore Will Twizell highlighted the two-day event for the Mount with top-three finishes in the 200 IM, 100 breast and 200 fly. Twizell's time of 55.77 in the 200 breast narrowly missed out on the NCAA 'B' cut by just 0.40 seconds.
The Mountaineers head up to La Salle for a meet with the Explorers on January 27 at 1 p.m.
