Marissa Frollo, Kiet Luong Join Mount Swimming & Diving Coaching Staff

Emmitsburg, Md. (September 14, 2017) – Marissa Frollo and Kiet Luong have been named assistant coaches for the Mount St. Mary's men's and women's swimming & diving programs as Head Coach Neil Yost rounds out his staff for the 2017-18 season.

Frollo joins the Mount St. Mary's staff after spending two years as the head coach for the Rosedale Rockets, where she helped lead the squad to their two best seasons in history. The girls 200 medley relay and 200 free relay went undefeated during Frollo's tenure at the helm.

Frollo was a standout swimmer at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, Pa., where she was a team captain in each of her final two seasons with the team. She was the top-finisher in the 50 free in two of her four years, while finishing top-three the other pair of seasons. Frollo wrapped up her career at Saint Vincent with program records in the 50 free, 100 free, and multiple relay events.

Frollo graduated from Saint Vincent in May of 2017 with a bachelor's degree in business management, and is currently working towards her master's degree in sports management at the Mount

Luong comes to the Mount following a two-year stint as an assistant coach at the Metrowest Stingrays YMCA, where he helped lead the team to top-five finishes at the New England YMCA Championship while also coaching five swimmers to the YMCA Nationals.

Luong was a standout swimmer at Regis College in Weston, Mass., where he was a four-time New England Champion, 23-time GNAC Champion, four-year member of the GNAC All-Conference Team, and was an ECAC finalist and NCAA Championship "B" qualifier in multiple events. Luong was also named team MVP and the Regis Outstanding Student-Athlete of the Year in each of his four seasons. He finished his career holding 14 of the 23 school records.

Luong graduated from Regis College in the spring of 2017 with a bachelor's degree in exercise science, and is currently working towards his master's degree in sports management at the Mount.
