Geneva, N.Y. (May 3, 2017) – Mount St. Mary's University sophomore midfielder Jack Mangan has been named Second Team All-Northeast Conference, as announced at the league's men's lacrosse banquet on Wednesday night.
Mangan, the Mount's workhorse in the middle of the field who was a standout on both ends for the squad, follows up his NEC All-Rookie Team selection from 2016 with Second Team honors this year. The midfielder finished the 2017 campaign with 24 points on 13 goals and 11 assists to go along with 49 ground balls and nine caused turnovers. Mangan led the squad in assists and ground balls, while finishing third in both points and caused turnovers, and fourth in goals. The Bayville, N.Y. native registered multi-point performances in seven contests, including multi-goal games in three of six conference tilts.
Mangan and the Mountaineers closed out the 2017 season at 4-10 overall and 1-5 in conference play.
