A defensive battle throughout, the first half went the Bulldogs' way as they netted three goals while holding the Mount to just one tally. The Mount opened up the scoring in the third period with a Mangan goal off the opening faceoff. The bulldogs responded to push their lead to 4-2, but the Mountaineers took their first lead of the contest, 5-4, following three unanswered goals. Cam Ziegler brought the match even for Bryant with 12:18 remaining in the contest, but in the waning seconds of the tilt, Brenden McCarthy found an open Mangan in front of the cage, where he beat goalie James Werner for the game-winner.
