Mount St. Mary's senior attack Andrew Scalley (Arnold, Md./Archbishop Spalding) was named the Northeast Conference Player of the Week for the second consecutive week on Monday. Scalley had a career-high nine points on three goals and six assists in the Mount's 15-12 win over Delaware this past Saturday. This is the fifth time in his career that Scalley has been named the NEC Player of the Week.
Scalley had a goal and three assists in the first quarter as the Mount jumped out to a 6-4 lead. He added a goal in the second quarter, an assist in the third quarter, and had a goal and two assists in the final quarter. His goal with 6:32 left snapped a 10-10 tie and gave the Mount the lead for good.
The senior has eight goals and 11 assists this year, leading the NEC in both points per game (6.33) and assists per game (3.67).
Scalley now has 107 goals and 66 assists for 173 career points for the Mount. He is eighth all-time in goals, 10th in assists and 11th in points.
The Mountaineers play at No. 6 Virginia on Tuesday night.
