Andrew Scalley Named Northeast Conference Offensive Player of the Week
Mount St. Mary's junior Andrew Scalley has been named the Nortehast Conference Offensive Player of the Week. Scalley posted a career-high seven points in the Mount's 15-6 win at Michigan on Saturday.
Scalley rebounded in strong fashion in his first game after being held off the scoresheet for the first time in his career. The junior attack scored two goals and dished out five assists in his seven-point day to lead the Mount offense in the victory. Scalley has recorded at least one point in 38 of 39 career games played.
Scalley is now second on the team with 20 points (9g, 11a) this season and he has moved into 17th place on the Mount's all-time scoring list with 118 points (79g, 42a). He is sixth in the NEC with 2.86 points per game this year.
The Mount (3-4) returns to action on Saturday, March 31, when the team hosts Quinnipiac at 1:00 p.m. at Waldron Family Stadium on campus. It is a rematch of last year's NEC Championship game won by the Mount, 14-9.
