Grasonville, Md. (April 2, 2013) -- Play at the Whiting-Turner Towson University Invitational at Prospect Bay concluded with the final round on Tuesday as the Mount St. Mary's men's golf team took home 19th place. Eric Flockhart recording the team's top three-day total of 235 to tie for 40th place.
Flockhart had the Mountaineers' third-best round on Tuesday by shooting an 84 (+12). The freshman from Ontario finished with five birdies for the tournament, including two on the final day.
Mike Shine placed in a three-way tie for 46th following his final round of 83 (+11). Shine recorded the Mount's second-best rounds on all three days to finish with 237 strokes.
Andrew Lawton shot the Mount's low round on Tuesday by firing an 81 (+9). Lawton finished the tournament with a three-day total of 243 to tie for 78th overall.
The Mount's fourth and fifth place finishers, Michael Pansini and Zach O'Grady, carded 86 and 90, respectively.
Jeremy Wells from William and Mary shot a 76 (+4) on the day and won the individual crown by finishing even par in the 36-hole tournament with 216 stokes. Wells led the Tribe to the team title with a score of 888.
Next on the slate is the Mount St. Mary's Invitational on April 15-16 at Quail Valley Golf Course in Littlestown, Pa.
