Triller Sits 12th To Continue To Lead Men's Golf After Round Two Of Wendy's Kiawah Classic

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – Ryan Triller (Street, Md./North Harford) ranks 12th place after the second round to lead the Mount St. Mary's men's golf team to a 24th-place standing at the Wendy's Kiawah Classic on Monday.

Triller continues to play within a few strokes of even par in the event. After posting a one-over round of 72 in the first round, the sophomore carded a two-over round of 73 in the second round to post a two-day total of 145 to sit in 12th place, four strokes behind the current leader.

Tonny Aizpun (Barcelona, Spain/Lycee Francais De Barcelone) (98th place, 160), Andrew Lawton (Severna Park, Md./Mount St. Joseph)  (104th place, 161), Kevin Ellison (Harrisburg, Pa./Bishop McDevitt) (124th place, 166) and Eric Flockhart (Mississauga, Ontario/St. Francis Xavier) (133rd place, 174) round out the Mount's five competitors.

South Carolina leads the three-day event with a score of 575, seven strokes ahead of the College of Charleston (582) while Wisconsin (587), Winthrop (589) and Western Kentucky (594) round out the Top-5 teams in the field. The Mountaineers sit in 24th place after posting a 315 in the first round and a 317 in the second round for a two-day total of 632.

Mount St. Mary's concludes the fall slate with the final round of the Wendy's Kiawah Classic on Tuesday.
