O'Grady Finishes Fourth To Help Men's Golf Place Second At Rehoboth Beach Invitational

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. – Devin O'Grady (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township) finished fourth to lead the Mount St. Mary's men's team to a second-place finish at the Rehoboth Beach Invitational on Monday.

O'Grady posted a one-over round of 71 in the first round and then carded a career-low two-under round of 69 to finish the one-day two-round event with a one-under total of 141, two strokes behind the three players that tied for first place.

Danny Michalek (Mount Airy, Md./Mount St. Joseph) (13th place, 148), Ryan Triller (Street, Md./North Harford) (13th place, 148), Tonny Aizpun (Barcelona, Spain/Lycee Francais De Barcelone) (20th place, 150) and Kevin Ellison (Harrisburg, Pa./Bishop McDevitt) (29th place, 154) rounded out the Mount's five competitors.

Navy won the event with a score of 572, 13 strokes ahead of the Mount (585) while Penn (586), Monmouth (592) and McDaniel (609) rounded out the Top-5 teams in the nine-team field. The Mountaineers posted a 290 in the first round and a 295 in the second round to post a total of 585. The second-place finish is the highest standing for Mount St. Mary's since the squad placed second at the ECAC Championships on Oct. 1-2, 2010.

The Mount returns to action on Friday at the ECAC Championships.
