November 20, 2017--Mount St. Mary's senior guard Junior Robinson (Mebane, N.C.) has been named the Northeast Conference Co-Player of the Week. Robinson averaged 20.0 points, 2.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.7 steals over three games for the Mountaineers last week.
After scoring 14 points in the Mount's loss at No. 13 Notre Dame last Monday, Robinson led all scorers with 26 points while adding four assists and three rebounds at Georgetown on Wednesday. Three days later, he hit the go-ahead runner with 35 seconds to play en-route to a game-high 20 points in the Mount's 84-81 victory over North Florida. Robinson went 7-of-13 from the field and 3-of-5 from three-point range in the win while adding five boards, four assists and two steals.
Robinson has scored 20 or more points in three of the Mount's four games this year, and leads the team in scoring at 20.0 points per game.
The Mountaineers are back in action on Tuesday, November 21, when York College visits Knott Arena for the home opener. Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m. and the Mount will unveil its 2016-17 championship banners prior to the game.
