FIRST FIVE
1. Mount St. Mary's defeated Saint Francis U, 78-55, on Saturday to clinch the No. 4 seed in the Northeast Conference Tournament.  Sam Prescott led the way with his first double-double in a Mount uniform with 26 points and 10 rebounds.  Rashad Whack chipped in 19 points and seven boards while Julian Norfleet compiled 17 points and four assists in just 19 minutes.  The Mount raced to a 41-19 first-half lead and led by as many as 30 points in the second half.

2.  Julian Norfleet has scored 509 points this season while Rashad Whack has tallied 497.  With three more points, Norfleet and Whack will be the first pair of Mount players to score 500 or more points in a season since Jack Sullivan (1,070) and Burt Sheing (563) did way back in 1956-57.  Norfleet is just the 18th player in Mount history to score 500 points in a single season.

3. The Mount is hosting a home Northeast Conference Tournament game for the first time since defeating Saint Francis U, 65-51, in the NEC Quarterfinals in 2010.  The Mount is 10-2 all-time at home in the NEC Tournament, including 2-0 against St. Francis Brooklyn.

4.  Julian Norfleet and Rashad Whack were each named Second Team All-NEC on Tuesday.  It is the first time the Mount has had a pair of All-NEC selections in the same season since Gregory Harris and Gerben Van Dorpe were Second Team All-NEC in 1997-98.

5. The NEC Semifinals will be on Saturday, March 8th, with higher seeds hosting.
