Mount St. Mary's Adds Donny Lind to Men's Basketball Staff

Emmitsburg, Md. (June 4, 2013)—Mount St. Mary's men's basketball coach Jamion Christian has announced the hiring of Donny Lind as an assistant coach.  Lind comes to the Mount after spending the past two seasons as the video coordinator at Virginia Commonwealth.

"I am so excited to have Donny join our family here at the Mount," said Christian.  "While working with Donny at VCU, his work ethic and intensity for developing young people always amazed me. I truly believe that by hiring Donny our program improved immediately. His work with the video and his creative thinking I know will benefit our program and will help to continue to keep our program as one of the best the Northeast Conference has to offer."

Lind, who graduated from Loyola University Maryland in 2010, was the video coordinator at VCU the past two seasons after serving as a graduate manager for the Rams Final Four team in 2010-11.  At Loyola, Lind was a student manager for the Greyhounds, serving as a video coordinator his final two years.

"I am excited to be a part of Mount St. Mary's basketball and to work with Coach Christian again," said Lind.  "The ceiling is high here at the Mount and I look forward to helping build on last season's success to reach bigger heights."
