Nwandu, a 6-3 guard, averaged 17 points, seven rebounds, five assists and four steals per game as a junior at Northeastern High School, helping lead the team to the state playoffs for the second consecutive season.  He was named to the All-County team as a junior in addition to being named a Second Team YAIAA All-Star by the York Daily Record.  As a sophomore, Nwandu averaged 10.3 points per game.

""We are extremely excited about the addition of Khalid to our program," said Christian.  "He fits the qualities that we look for in each recruit- being a tremendous competitor, a great defender and playing with a high level of unselfishness."
