Mount St. Mary’s Senior Guard Lamar Trice Dismissed from Team

Emmitsburg, Md. (December 7, 2011)—Mount St. Mary's head men's basketball coach Robert Burke has announced that senior Lamar Trice has been dismissed from the team for a violation of team rules.

"We are very disappointed and concerned that Lamar has made decisions that cost him the opportunity to be part of this team and jeopardized his educational opportunities," said Burke.

Trice, who was suspended for the first five games this season for a team rules violation, appeared in the past two games for the Mount, averaging 10.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 3.5 steals.  Trice finished his career at the Mount with 508 points in 83 games played.

Mount St. Mary's plays at Maryland tonight with tip-off at 8:00 p.m.
