Two former Mount St. Mary's men's basketball players had standout seasons in Europe this past year. Jeremy Goode earned First Team All-League honors in Portugal while Kelly Beidler was named First Team All-League in Iceland by Eurobasket.com.
Goode played for Penafiel in the Liga Professional League last season, the top league in Portugal. The 5-9 guard averaged 17.4 points, 3.5 assists and 2.6 steals per game while shooting 51.0 percent from the floor. In addition to being named First Team All-League, Goode was also on the All-Defensive Team, the All-Newcomer Team, the All-Import Team and was the league's Guard of the Year.
Beidler played for IR Reykjavik in Iceland last year, averaging 21.7 points, 12.4 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 2.5 steals and 2.0 blocks per game. He was named First Team All-League by Eurobasket.com while also earning spots on the All-Import Team and the All-Defensive Team. In addition, Beidler was named both the Defensive Player of the Year and the Forward of the Year.
