Mount St. Mary’s Baseball Celebrates Field Enhancement Upgrades with Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Emmitsburg, Md. – This past Friday, the Mount St. Mary's University baseball program held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the new field upgrades at E.T. Straw Family Stadium. The first phase of the field upgrades included a new turf infield, outfield wall padding, and bullpen upgrades, which were completed this past November.

On the field for Friday's ceremony were Mount St. Mary's President, Dr. Tim Trainor, Director of Athletics, Lynne Robinson, Vice President for University Advancement, Bob Brennan, and representing the alumni benefactors, Chris Stone (C'02).

Additional field upgrades are planned for the future, including:

  • Dugout upgrades
  • Installation of a turf outfield
  • Construction of a clubhouse with locker rooms, bathrooms, offices and a film room
  • Installation of lights

Mount St. Mary's would like to thank all of the alumni, parents, and friends of the program that have made these field enhancements possible.
