Mount St. Mary's Baseball Falls in Series Finale at Fairleigh Dickinson

Teaneck, N.J. (April 9, 2017) - Patrick Causa and Will Enrico delivered a multi-hit game accounting for four of the six hits but Mount St. Mary's fell 15-2 in series finale at Fairleigh Dickinson Sunday afternoon.

The Knights jumped out to take the early lead by scoring three runs in the bottom of the first inning and one in the bottom of the second. Bobby Romano hit a two run homerun to right field that plated Matt McCann to start the scoring in the first.

FDU added one run in the bottom of the fourth inning and six runs in the bottom half of the fifth inning scoring 11 runs before the Mount could get on the board. 

Causa hit a single up the middle that scored Dalton Clouser for the only run batted in by Mount St. Mary's which came in the top of the sixth inning. Enrico scored on a line out by Tanner Sampson that gave the Mount their last run.

The Knights added four more runs in the bottom of the seventh inning that made the score 15-2. Romano hit a three run homerun in the inning for his second homerun of the game and finished the game with 6 RBI's.

Trey McGough (1-2) recorded the loss for the Mount while Corey Zeller (1-3) recorded the win for the Knights.

The Mountaineers host George Mason for a game on Tuesday, April 11 at 3:30 pm.
