Bowling Green Defeats the Mount, 12-4, in Baseball Action on Saturday

Winter Haven, Fla. (March 3, 2012)--Mount St. Mary's lost to Bowling Green, 12-4, on Saturday afternoon in the final game of the season-opening nine-game trip to Florida.

Mark Quaranta led the Mount with a 4-for-5 day at the plate while Josh Winter and Michael Foster each went 2-for-4 in the game.

Sam Nott, Andrew Clow and Brandon Scott also had hits for the Mount in the loss.  On the mound, Ben Smallenbroek allowed three runs in 1.2 innings to take the loss.   Dan Horner, Thomas Williams and Nick Riley also appeared on the mound in the game.

Mount St. Mary's returns to action on Tuesday, March 6, when George Mason visits E.T. Straw Family Stadium for the home opener.  First pitch is slated for 3:00 p.m.
