November 9, 2007—Mount St. Mary’s senior goalkeeper Anna Lebo (Walkersville, Md./Walkersville) has been named First Team All-Northeast Conference for the second straight season. Fellow senior Karyn Farrar (Mount Airy, Md./South Carroll) earned Second Team All-NEC honors for the Mount. In addition, the Mount earned the NEC’s Fair Play Award in 2007.
Lebo earned All-NEC honors after posting a 1.78 goals against average and 121 saves while playing every minute in goal for the Mount this season. She added four shutouts this season and won Brine/NEC Player of the Week honors after recording a season-high 17 saves in the Mount’s win over NEC regular season champion Monmouth in the final game of the season.
Lebo finished her career as the Mount’s all-time leader in wins (15), shutouts (10) and saves (350). Her 121 saves this season are the second-best single-season mark in school history behind her 124-save effort last year.
Farrar earned Second Team All-NEC honors after leading the Mount in scoring this season with eight points (3g, 2a). Farrar finished her career at the Mount third all-time in points (41) and goals (17). She led the Mount this season with 44 shots this season and finished third all-time with 133 career shots.
The Mount also won the NEC Fair Play Award this season, as voted on by the league’s coaches.
The Mount finished the 2007 season 5-13 overall and 3-6 in the NEC. The Mountaineers set a school record this year with four road victories.
